About
South Australia
grows more onions than any other state in Australia and plays a
major role in Australia’s cuisine. The globally versatile onion
is used in barbeques, roasts, salads, pastas and curries.
What is the “Onion
Factor’?”
The Onion Factor
is a conserve range created using South Australian onions and
local produce to creatively provide you with a range of
caramelised onions, pickled onions, smoked onions, spring onion
dressings, and much more. Unique flavours that will provide you
with a food experience to enhance any dish!
Why?
“The Onion Factor
aims to creatively provide you with products that: are
environmentally friendly by limiting food wastage and carbon
foot-print; support other local businesses; and make something
so tasty and unique that you will keep coming back.”
The Onion Factor
would like to sustainability and resourcefully take the humble
onion and the ‘cry-factor’ out of cutting and cooking them for
you so that quick and tasty meal preparation allows you to spend
more time with family and friends. The Onion Factor enables you
to enhance anything from a sandwich, BBQ, cheese platter, canape,
roast or any meal.
Who?
“The business started when I decided a complete career change
was in order and the first thing I did was start cooking (experi-baking).
My friends joked that I eat everything, was obsessed with
condiments, though I would pull raw onion out of my salads. I
saw that as a challenge.”
So when life gives you onions, enjoy delicious condiments.
